On Friday, 16 February the anti-dumping duties on flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of 600 mm or more, otherwise plated or coated with zinc, of a thickness of less than 0,45 mm (HS 7210.49.10) originating in or imported from the Peoples Republic of China was implemented.
The anti-dumping case was initiated on 12 October 2022, after an application by the South African Coil Coaters Association (SACCA) who represents ArcelorMittal, Safal Steel and Duferco Steel. According to the initiation gazette SACCA constitutes 100% of SACU’s domestic production of the subject product.
The final anti-dumping duties are as follows:
- Shandong Guanxian Rongda Composite Material Co., Ltd. has a duty of 6,02%
- Shandong Tongsheng Composite Material Co., Ltd. has a duty of 5,61%
- The residual anti-dumping duty is 53,84%
Please note the anti-dumping duties will be payable on top of the current 10% customs duties for products imported from or originating from the Peoples Republic of China.
